DEPORTES: SWEEP, SWEEP, SWEEP!
The biggest rivals in baseball history, The New York Yankees and The Boston Red Sox went at it for 5 games in a row in Fenway Park. The New York Yankees SWEPT The Boston Red Sox, something that they have not done in more than half a century. The New York Yankees went from 1 1/2 games ahead of The Boston Red Sox to 6 1/2 games ahead leading the AL East. The players exhanged handshakes and hugs as they celebrated their victory. The manager of The New York Yankees, Joe Torre was very proud of his team and stated in an interview with Fox Sports that, "It was emotional. When you're sitting there, a manager's dream is to have these guys, their attitude. The guys that didn't play today - you had to be in the dugout to hear the support that they gave each other."
The New York Yankees will face The Boston Red Sox in "The house that Ruth built" on September 15-17 in a 3 series game.
What did you guys think of this series? Who do you like better The New York Yankees or The Boston Red Sox? Why? Who are your favorite players on the teams? Let us know! We are dying to hear from you LATWEENO!
