Cantando Por Un Sueno

Univision's own version of American Idol, Cantando Por Un Sueno premiered its third season on Sunday, August 27, 2006. El reggeatonero, Daddy Yankee made a special appearance and performed his hit, "Lo Que Paso, Paso".

Unlike American Idol, Cantano Por Un Sueno pairs real life people and celebrities to compete for an important cause. Many participants compete to help their families or others who are in unfortunate situations.

The mexican actress and singer, Thalia is the madrina of this contest and also sings the show's theme song.
